who we are

One of us has a culinary degree from one of the most prestigious schools in the country. The other makes pie crust and says words. We believe in the hustle, DIY, saying the F-word, butter, cream, dark chocolate, that certain pies have certain rules, and that if it’s worth doing it’s worthing doing the right way.

When we opened Piebird in 2015 we had our 3rd kid on the way, a spot on Butler street that was designed to be a laundromat, and a whole bunch of people rooting for us. Our goal was simple, keep making great products and hope for the best!

 

Our pie

We make pie the way it should be made.  Yeah, that sounds arrogant, but you gotta believe in something, right?  Our crust is made from butter (the good kind), flour, sugar, and salt.  That’s it.  We know our farmer’s names and, no, you can’t get a peach pie in January or an apple pie in June.  We don’t make vegan things, or gluten free things, or free things. Unless you want attitude, we’ve got plenty of that to go around.  If you’re offended by any of this, you’re taking yourself too seriously, it pie for f*cks sake. '
